I was looking for some information how the obligatory vehicle inspection in Ukraine is being conducted. I found out that you can do this at 2 places: - state inspection station - or private authorized company (e.g. Audi dealer)
With my car I have to go for this inspection every 2 years. Is this right? Or does it additionally depend on the age of my car?
What about motorcycles? Do they also need to get inspected? And are there emission tests for cars/ motorcycles too?
My last question would be how much it costs to do this inspection.

You'll have to visit both: private authorized company for technical check, then state inspection for all the other paperwork. Good private companies usually have state inspector on site.

Sure, but local emission tests are not strict. Not a problem for a fuel-injection engines.

Inspection cost includes taxes, so it depends on Your car. Usually it is equivalent to $100-150. Additionally You'll have to pay all the drivers penalties You got.
PS. All above is about personal cars that are registered in Ukraine. Company owned cars state inspection procedure is slightly different. Foreign registered cars are not covered by state vehicle inspection at all I believe.

Not exactly. You'll got to authorized service anyway. There is one of then on site on state inspection usually. Prices are the same - 150-170 uah for technical state check.

No. You've mentioned only two of about a dozen payments You have to pay for inspection. Really You'll have to pay 150-160 uah for technical state check, then road tax (depending on Your car it's starts from 200uah per 2 year), then about 100 uah for windshield ticket.

The first issue is whether you have a registered car/bike in Ukraine. If they are registered under another jurisdiction then your inquiry is early.

my comment was regarding Tax Code - it's valid. Your link is just about passing the whole procedure - the former head of the state committee on the issues of regulatory policy and entrepreneurship describing the draft law of transferring the whole procedure of state vehicle inspection to the private sector, while now one can pass there only technical check and then – receive sticker or decal from “MREO”

sh1t/poop/pooh/etc. hits the fan но только "вброс на вентилятор" нужно корректно употреблять, а не по-деревенски - когда, узнав что-то новое, использовать его всюду, по поводу и без, и считая, что "щас вброшу" - это уже оно.
