В ответ на: Is the approach of a technical requirement to equip all vehicles with automatic dedicated daytime running lights, coupled with a user requirement to use dipped beam headlights or retrofitted dedicated DRL the correct one, or should other alternatives be considered?
DVR favours the general use of daytime running light aiming at an increase of vehicle conspicuity. DVR expects a positive effect on conspicuity from the introduction of this measure. Today we observe vehicles on the road with or without their vehicle lighting switched on. This is a practice which, from a safety point of view, is to be considered at least questionable. DVR therefore demands that new vehicle types should be equipped on a mandatory base and Europewide with specific daytime running lights according to ECE Regulation No. 87 which shall switch on automatically. Vehicles already in circulation shall be retrofitted with DRL on a voluntary basis. Apart from that, such vehicles which are not retrofitted, shall travel with dipped headlamps switched on during daytime.
Вот как вопрос решён в нормальных государствах (к некоторых ненормальных, к слову, тоже в конце концов разрешили гражданам ставить ДХО): при такой формулировке уже не один гаишный троль не сможет заикнуться про незаводское™ ДХО.
